On January 24, 2023 — news hit the courts that there was a private mediation meeting in the Esme Bianco case against Brian Warner pka Marilyn Manson where the parties agreed to resolve their litigation. Everyone is now preparing to sign off on their agreement and dismiss the lawsuit altogether in the near future.
It’s a conclusion to the long, head-scratching journey the Esme Bianco case has been on since its inception.
The actress initially appeared on television making strong accusations against Manson in February 2021. She then went onto file a lawsuit (twice by accident) in late April 2021. As a whole — the Esme Bianco case went on an arguably rocky road within the litigation process. Bianco’s camp has filed a total of three amended complaints, lost multiple motions for sanctions and to strike claims, delayed multiple depositions and the turnover of documents in discovery and more.
As things finally come to an end, the lead attorneys on both sides of the Esme Bianco case shared statements on its resolution:
2023 Esme Bianco Case Happenings
The timing of all this interesting and ties to a busy month in general for the Esme Bianco case.
- JANUARY 3: Witness Ashley Smithline subpoenaed in the Bianco case dismissed her claims against Manson
- JANUARY 3: Esme Bianco filed her third amended lawsuit with edits after the court struck one of her complaints in December
- JANUARY 10: A new timeline was set by the court for a June 2023 trial
- JANUARY 17: Manson attorneys motion to strike a claim they’d previously won dismissal of from the latest version of her lawsuit
- JANUARY 17: All parties participated in private mediation
- JANUARY 24: Attorneys notify the court they’re resolving their litigation and moving towards dismissal of the case
The parties were also in the midst of awaiting a ruling on a previous motion to temporarily stay the Esme Bianco case until the criminal investigation Bianco launched into claims she was “human trafficked” concluded. This allegation arose from her belief that when traveling from the UK to LA to film a music video she was “trafficked”.
In Nov. 2021, Manson’s private residence was raided by the LA Sheriff’s Dept. with multiple devices seized. LASD concluded their investigation in Sept. 2022 and turned it over to the LA District Attorney’s office who has to date not filed any criminal charges against Manson. The seized devices do remain in position of law enforcement and cannot be evaluated by Bianco’s counsel as requested within the civil case.
Manson’s attorneys motioned for the court to recognize a mandatory rule to stay federal human trafficking cases on the civil side to give the criminal side precedent.
And yet, thankfully, while the court has yet to offer a decision on staying the Esme Bianco case we are seeing it come to a conclusion anyhow through mediation.
IS ESME BIANCO NOW OUT OF THE PICTURE?
There are no public details on what the parties and attorneys agreed to as the Esme Bianco case draws to an end.
That said, she is still relevant in Marilyn Manson’s claims that there has been a hoax orchestrated against him in a lawsuit he filed in March 2022 against actress Evan Rachel Wood and her ex-partner Ashley Illma Gore.
Manson’s lawsuit references a staged focus group gathering in the Phoenix Rising documentary where evidence has shown Ashley Gore invited people to attend. Like Gore and Evan Rachel Wood — Esme Bianco was present for this meeting. She also spoke quite a bit, according to sources, despite any speaking parts of her making their way into the final documentary.
Esme’s communications, experiences and knowledge of events could play a role in the Manson v. Gore and Wood case. We will just have to wait and see how it goes!
