Politically speaking – we live in very divided times heightened by media tactics that bait the general public and create an environment where citizens are left doing the dirty work of politicians who should be working for their constituents. Not the other way around. After all, that’s what they were elected to do. Through the dark divide, however, there’s comfort in mutual agreements such as the need to protect fundamental, constitutional rights across the United States.

Among them?

The right to a fair trial because without such a right we could very easily dissolve into the darker chapters of history where the “state” or the “monarchy” can oust someone from society without evidence.

A pop star with a small fanbase feels differently, however.

Or at the very least her legal team is reaching a breaking point as her case speeds ahead towards trial where Brian Warner p/k/a Marilyn Manson will confront her fantastical allegations that he “abused” her over a decade ago face on. Among her claims? That memory of the abuse was repressed by her traumatized mind and not recovered until a decade-to-the month revelation later in February 2021 while walking her dog.

The popstar wasted no time, however, in acquiring legal counsel to draw up a lawsuit for damages over the alleged abuse. The lawsuit was quickly drafted and served upon Warner on May 28, 2021.

Did she expect Manson would initiate a quick settlement as he endured the weight of global cancellation and three additional lawsuits served in the same timeframe by aspiring actress Esme Bianco, model Ashley Morgan Smithline and a former personal assistant named Ashley Walters.

Or did she anticipate he wouldn’t be able to offer much of a defense given his shock rocker public persona?

Note: Smithline went onto drop her claims and lawsuit in December 2022 and later file testimony FOR Manson that she was coerced by Evan Rachel Wood et all that she repressed memory of abuse that simply never took place. Smithine is also set to take the stand as part of Manson’s defense against Doe’s claims.

Popstar Jane Doe Seeks to Block Marilyn Manson Testimony at Trial

Whatever her reasons may be, we’ve reached a crossroads in Jane Doe’s case where she seeks to block Marilyn Manson from testifying in his own trial as well as multiple witnesses from taking the stand in his defense.

Her reasoning?

That Manson was toying with the idea of entering trial under the 5th amendment as he lacks access to property of his seized in LA County that contains files and communications from the time period in question. LA DA George Gascon has been in receipt in the full case file of the 19-month investigation conducted by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Dept. but to date has taken no action charge Manson with any crime.

Except Manson’s counsel changed course well before the statute deadline by more than a month. To boot, several of the witnesses whose testimony Jane Doe seeks to block from the jury was also only added after she added a new claim against Manson weeks before trial in a September 2023 deposition. The trial was scheduled to begin on Oct. 3.

Considering every claim from Jane Doe comes with Manson’s right to adequately defend himself it’s starting to feel like these 11th hour motions to block testimony and her own communications from entering trial indicate a lack of confidence on their part that a verdict will come out in their favor.
