Plot Twist Moment: Marilyn Manson motions to put Esme Bianco case on hold
Earlier this week, the court dismissed one cause of action in Esme’s lawsuit – relating to Manson allegedly interfering with a Deftones work project she lined up in April 2022.
But the action doesn’t stop there.
We’re now seeing Manson’s team cite a mandatory rule that civil cases relating to human trafficking are to be put on hold pending a criminal investigation. As background – within her lawsuit Esme Bianco claims she was “trafficked” because when hired for a music video she had to travel from UK to LA for filming.
Bianco’s claims of abuse and human trafficking have been brought to the attention of law enforcement. The Los Angeles Sheriff Dept.’s criminal investigation into all the allegations against Manson has been underway since at least Feb. 2021. Manson’s home was even raided with multiple devices seized in Nov. 2021.
LA COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY DRAGGING HIS FEET
What we’ve been seeing play out in recent history is a game of hot potato from the Los Angeles District Attorney. Earlier this year, his team asked for questions for a Q&A with the DA and they answered a question from Marilyn Manson Uncanceled inquiring about the status of their investigation.
On Sept. 12, 2022 – the DA responded to this question by issuing a video answer explaining that the Dept. supports victims and is awaiting the findings of the investigation the LA Sheriff’s Dept. was leading into allegations against Manson.

On Sept. 19, 2022, the LA Sheriff’s Dept. shared with the public that they have completed their 19-month investigation into the allegations against Manson and turned everything over to the LA DA’s office for review and consideration of charges.
This news got the media talking and apparently the pressure mounting – because the LA DA then issued another statement on Sept. 20, 2022 (in a now deleted tweet) that they’d only received a ‘partial’ file. It seemed like a shady game of pass the buck from George Gascon who has been extremely unpopular in LA county.
No one can say for sure exactly what’s going on with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office but it seems they are avoiding a public decision on whether to file charges against Manson or dismiss the case for lack of evidence.
It’s an unfortunate situation and Manson’s team now filing for a stay in the Esme Bianco lawsuit is just another piece of pressure for the DA to once and for all make a decision.
If victims have truly suffered abuse from Manson – they deserve justice. If the allegations are false and there’s no evidence to back them up — he deserves an update so he can start the process of getting his life back after nearly two years spent out of the public eye because of immense backlash against him.
Unrelated to Manson, LA DA George Gascon has been strongly disliked by the people of LA County and only narrowly survived a recall election. And while it’s understandable he finds himself in a sticky situation because Los Angeles is the epicenter of the Me Too movement — this waiting game is unfair to everyone.
UPCOMING HEARING
Within the Dec. 15, 2022 documents filed by Manson’s team, there’s news that the court has scheduled a hearing for Jan, 13, 2023 to discuss putting the Esme Bianco case on hold while LA County sorts out their business.
Stay tuned for the court’s decision!
