Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday weekend. It sure was great to enjoy some downtime with families before thinks get really hectic for the height of the holiday season ahead. December is always a busy month but I’m in strong crunch mode as I have a surgery coming up mid-month and a mile long to-do list before then.
The last week or so has been rather busy within the Marilyn Manson cases. No one can ever estimate when the lull periods will occur but they won’t be slowing down within at least the next week.
The long-anticipated anti-slapp hearing in the Manson v. Evan Rachel Wood and Illma Gore case is finally taking place on Thursday, December 1. When Wood and Gore initially filed their motions to strike, the court set hearing dates for mid-December and mid-January. Then on July 6 they announced rescheduled dates for mid-August and September 13. Those were rescheduled and alas here we are!
It’s still early in the week but I’m starting a new plan to start a blog post that I’ll share and update as any additional updates emerge.
Week of 11/28/22 Updates
FINAL COUNTDOWN TO ANTI-SLAPP: Review Gore and Wood‘s final updates ahead of the anti-slapp hearing.
- 11/29/22 MANSON UPDATE: Lead attorney Howard E. King filed a notice with the court that he intends to reply to evidentiary objections made by Gore and Wood as well as object to two declarations (Gore and former attorney) as “improper”. Read the notice, here!
- 12/1/22 ANTI-SLAPP CONTINUED: Due to the high number objections to all the evidence Manson submitted – the court has continued the anti-slapp hearing to sort through those. It’s another disappointing delay so the waiting continues!
- 12/2/22 NEW ANTI-SLAPP DATE: A new new hearing date has been scheduled for the anti-slapp motions. Hopefully February 7, 2023 is the final delay on the matter!
ESME BIANCO:
- 12/2/22: The court issued a notice that the hearing requested by Esme Bianco’s attorney Jay Ellwanger to reconsider his previously lost arguments against Manson has been canceled. The court has written arguments they’re taking under consideration but they shared there’s no need for an in-person hearing with the parties.
JANE DOE:
- 11/28/22: She’s made multiple notices to the court to enforce a protective order in the Wood/Gore anti-slapp hearing. The hearing is addressing issues related to a conspiracy Manson is alleging where Gore and Wood recruited others to falsely name him as an abuser. She’s still maintaining anonymity but it’s interesting she’s throwing her hat in that arena. Does this mean she was in talks with them?
- 12/1/22: The judge did sign off on Jane’s motion to have her protective order enforced.
NEWS ON NEW MUSIC & SUPPORT
HAPPY MUSICAL NEWS:
The forever iconic Kat Von D shared an exciting update on her Instagram on 11/30/22. She and Manson have been working together on a project in the studio.
Manson has not released any new music since the We Are Chaos album dropped in Fall 2020. Kat did not expand further on any more details or a timing of release but she did voice continued support for Manson in a comment:

NEWSLETTER NEWS
In October, I considered if a monthly newsletter would be helpful and had many chats with you guys about what you’d like to see in it. I worked out that I think mid-month would be best rather than the end and so I’m happy to say the first issue will be coming mid-December.
The idea is to not just inform but celebrate the community we have as a whole. I’m super excited about some things I’ve been chatting about with others. Everyone has such outstanding perspectives and it’s a great way to stay connected.
