On Monday, January 30, 2023 — actress Evan Rachel Wood broke the news (imagine that) first thing in the morning that another “Jane Doe” has filed a lawsuit against Brian Warner (Marilyn Manson) and several others on alleged abuse dating back to the 1990s.
While currently remaining confidential – the lawsuit was filed in the State of New York and details claims that closely match another individual who previously very publicly made claims in February 2021 against Manson in sit-down interviews with tabloids and podcast appearances.
Manson has consistently maintained that all allegations lodged against him are false.
Another Jane Doe Lawsuit Against Marilyn Manson
The claims within this Jane Doe lawsuit against Marilyn Manson (here) were investigated by law enforcement with no charges filed against Manson but she is now seeking monetary damages.
To potentially increase odds of getting some form of financial benefit – the lawsuit has been filed against Manson as well as Interscope Records, Trent Reznor’s label Nothing Records and twenty other individuals whose identities are unknown to Ms. Doe.
The document walks through various allegations as well as oddly spends quite a bit of time reviewing old marketing for Manson in the 90s that plaintiff and her attorneys find are inappropriate and as signs of the

PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS WITHIN THE COMPLAINT
HYPOCRITICAL ROLLING STONE IRE
Despite being upfront and center denouncing his unchecked “deviant” behavior in the 1990s in support of the latest Jane Doe lawsuit against Marilyn Manson, Rolling Stone prominently celebrated his art and work in the 90s with multiple magazine covers as well as continuing to heavily promote his music for decades.
LAW FIRM MARKETING
One element we’ve not yet seen that the Jane Doe lawsuit brings to the table is a fear-mongering marketing campaign:
We proudly stand with this courageous survivor, who in this complaint exposes Brian Warner as a self-proclaimed “rape machine” predator and exposes the record labels and executives that have permitted, and profiteered from his #violence against the #vulnerable #MarilynManson pic.twitter.com/ztugFD0Vqp

“They were like, ‘We are having a contest to see who can send us a Polaroid with the most deviant usage of our logo.’”

One tool common to those who sexually abuse kids is #grooming: manipulative behaviors that the abuser uses to gain access to a potential victim, coerce them to agree to the abuse, and reduce the risk of being caught. #MarilynManson pic.twitter.com/ImSjrzf2VH
